EAT was founded in 2012. We are a multi academy trust that prides itself on a special blend of independence and collaboration, which is demonstrated in everything that we do. Our academies and partner schools are exceptional – delivering an education which ensures every student achieves and enjoys success.
At the heart of Excalibur Academies is the child’s journey through learning.
Our academies deliver a learning experience that encourages resilience, personal responsibility and independence. Excalibur staff are exceptional – raising expectations and providing the highest level of challenge in the classroom every day.
Excalibur is committed to schools retaining their individuality and identity – we believe that every school joining the trust should remain independent. It is through close collaboration and a shared vision that together we achieve great things. We are only too aware that highly effective schools serving their local towns and villages are critically important for communities to thrive.
Excalibur Academies have a strong family ethos based on strong values and a robust moral code that emphasises:
The Excalibur Academies Trust is a family of schools with a community commitment to educational excellence, that prepares students for success in changing world through the promoting of tolerance, curiosity, independence and respect.
To develop highly capable, confident and independent learners who are well prepared to meet the opportunities and challenges presented by a global community, by delivering a coherent, seamless approach to teaching and learning from early years to adulthood.
Through astute and purposeful leadership, Excalibur Academies Trust is totally committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning for pupils aged between 3 to 19 years.
Our vision will be realised, where possible, through the strong regional clusters of primary academies allied to a local secondary academy, who through collaborative partnership will deliver an educational experience of outstanding quality for all children wthin the reach of the academies.
The foundation stone of our culture is our community of schools, where knowledge sharing, collaboration, partnership and contribution and teamship form the core pillars.
We carefully cultivate an environment that is in international in its outlook, and which encourages independent learners whose individual potential can be realised. With the delivery of educational excellence as the prime commitment to our pupils, we also pay close attention to ensuring the morals, standards of ethical behaviour, good values and respect for one another are firmly embedded in the ethos of all our partner schools.
Burbage Primary school is a village primary school housed in a modern building with six classes. We pride ourselves on being a happy, friendly and caring school with our children enjoying a broad, balanced curriculum and achieving great results. We firmly believe the children should enjoy school but also be challenged to push their own boundaries of learning.
Easton Royal Academy is a small, rural village school, near Pewsey.
At Easton Royal, children learn through a stimulating, topic-based curriculum which is taught in mixed age classes. Our dedicated teachers (some of whom also teach at St John’s) encourage children to take responsibility for their learning, to flourish socially, emotionally and intellectually, and, most importantly, to enjoy what they do.
We pride ourselves on our caring, family friendly environment and our outward looking approach to education. We have a strong focus on Global Citizenship and Modern Foreign Languages, as well as Creative Arts and our vision is to foster an outstanding learning community through which all children succeed in their learning and are empowered to become respected citizens within the school, local community and in the wider world.
We are a unique school which is aiming high. We make every effort to know and understand the needs of individual children before they join us. Our aim is for every family to be part of the Fairfield Family.
We support our students to realise their academic potential throughout their time with us, while also helping them to develop and grow as people. Our curriculum is continually adapting to meet the needs and demand of our diverse population.
At John O’Gaunt we believe our role is to ‘inspire’ our students and make them ‘believe’ anything is possible. With our ‘support’ they will go on to ‘achieve’ great things.
We understand that young people learn in a variety of ways and at different paces and our broad and balanced curriculum supports all students to succeed to the best of their ability. Our students are encouraged to unlock their potential in all subjects; we challenge them to expand their skills and understanding from the very first day.
In a world of opportunities, we encourage entrepreneurship, belief and achievement.
Oare is a happy and vibrant school where we value, nurture and support individual members of the school community.
Within our school we seek to explore, learn from and implicitly follow the Christian values in an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance.
We are committed to the development of the ‘whole child’ – to encompass their learning, spiritual and emotional growth.
We recognise that each child is an individual and as a result has different learning styles. We celebrate and value achievement regardless of its nature or size, being able to write neatly after struggling to hold a pencil correctly, or sounding out words when you find reading difficult is just as important as being able to catch a ball for the first time without dropping it , create an imaginative piece of descriptive writing or finally understanding how to carry out division and get the correct answer.
Ogbourne C of E Primary School is a caring community, set in a small picturesque Wiltshire village. Our children are at the heart of all that we do. We welcome and care for each and every pupil, from the moment they enter our school through to the time that that they move onto secondary education. We are committed to achieving the highest standards and we work hard to stimulate our children’s love for learning.
We received an Ofsted interim report in January 2013. This report told us that due to the quality of our attainment and progress results (amongst other measures), Ofsted were pleased to inform us that they were deferring our next Full Inspection. However, if you want to find out more about our ‘effective teaching’ as well as our ‘excellent care, guidance and support for all pupils’ (quotations from our last Full Inspection), please click on the Ofsted tab where you can access all the most recent reports, in full.
St John’s is a heavily oversubscribed, high performing secondary academy. Its GCSE results last year were a stunning 75% 5A*-C (inc. English and Maths). St John’s is one of the Top 10% of all schools for students achieving 5A* or A grades at GCSE, we are a RSA National Training School for Opening Minds, and an International Baccalaureate World School.
St. Katharine’s Church of England (VC) primary school is a small primary school set in the beautiful and unique location of Savernake forest, drawing many of our number on roll from beyond our catchment area. We currently have 101 children on roll aged 4-11 who come from a range of villages and hamlets in the surrounding area.
Our school prides itself on the warm and nurturing relationships that it fosters, within a Christian ethos, amongst all its stakeholders. Children are known as individuals and it is our aim not to determine children’s potential but to enable our children to see their potential as unlimited. Children at St. Katharine’s begin a journey as a learner as they walk through our doors for the first time, developing the skills to become independent and engaged in the learning that they do and to take responsibility for that learning. Our aim is that we instil a love of learning in the children at our school, which they take from us when they leave and that will last them for a lifetime.
