Fairfield High School is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic inspirational Science Teacher to join a well resourced department that has a relentless focus of raising achievement at GCSE. This post is a permanent position with a TLR2A for second in faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to raise the profile of Science at Fairfield. The successful candidate would be joining the team at a very exciting time as the faculty is currently undergoing transition to reflect the new curriculum at KS3 and KS4. There are real opportunities to lead on curriculum issues and change approaches to teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
The ability to teach Science to at least GCSE level
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent organisational and ICT skills
A high degree of initiative
The ability to work independently as well as part of a faculty team
The ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results
The post would suit an experienced Teacher looking to advance their career. The successful candidate needs to be familiar with the new GCSE course, alongside the use of data to track and monitor students/interventions, must have QTS and a good sense of humour!
